Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of yourmargincoach.com (the "Site") and any coaching services booked through it, provided by Cody Sensenig, a sole proprietor doing business as Margin ("Margin," "I," "me," or "we"), based in Dover, Ohio. By using the Site or booking a call, session, or coaching plan, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or the services.

What Margin Is — and Isn't

Margin provides one-on-one YNAB budget coaching. It is a coaching service, not budgeting software — there's no separate Margin app, dashboard, or account. You use your own YNAB subscription, and coaching happens inside it.

Margin is not affiliated with YNAB (You Need A Budget). I am not a YNAB Certified Coach and not a licensed or certified financial advisor, planner, accountant, or attorney. Coaching reflects my own experience budgeting with YNAB, not professional financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, and shouldn't be treated as a substitute for advice from a licensed professional where one is warranted.

No Guarantee of Results

Coaching outcomes depend on your own financial situation, decisions, and follow-through, none of which I control. I don't guarantee any specific financial result, savings amount, or "Age of Money" figure, and nothing on the Site or in a session should be read as a promise of a particular outcome.

Booking, Payment, Cancellation & Refunds

Free intro call

The intro call is free, no-obligation, and can be booked or rescheduled through the Cal.com link on the Site.

YNAB Jumpstart

A one-time, 90-minute session, paid in advance through the booking flow. If the Jumpstart isn't the right fit for you, tell me and I'll refund it in full — no argument. Please reach out to refunds@yourmargincoach.com to request a refund.

Monthly Coaching

Billed monthly through Stripe at the rate shown on the Site at the time you sign up. There's no long-term contract — you can cancel anytime before your next billing date by emailing refunds@yourmargincoach.com, and you won't be charged again. Because sessions are scheduled and delivered throughout the billing period, payments already made for the current month are non-refundable, but nothing renews automatically once you've cancelled.

Rescheduling

Use the Cal.com link in your confirmation email to reschedule a session. Please give as much notice as you can.

Confidentiality

Whatever you share about your finances during coaching — categories, numbers, goals, struggles — is used only to help with your budget and is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties. See the Privacy Policy for the full details on what's collected and how it's handled.

Third-Party Services

The Site and coaching workflow rely on a few outside tools, each governed by its own terms: Cal.com for scheduling, Stripe for payment processing, MailerLite for the free guide and email delivery, and Google Analytics for traffic measurement. Margin isn't responsible for outages, errors, or policies of those third-party services, though I'll do what I reasonably can to help if one of them causes a problem with your booking or payment.

The Site may link to other third-party sites (including YNAB's). I don't control and am not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any site I don't operate.

Affiliate / Referral Disclosure

Some links to YNAB on this Site (for example, the free-trial link) are referral links. If you sign up through one, YNAB may give Margin a referral credit or reward at no extra cost to you. I only link to YNAB because it's the tool coaching is built around, and that doesn't change my recommendation either way — I'd point you to YNAB regardless of the referral.

Free Guide & Email List

Signing up for the free guide adds you to Margin's email list through MailerLite. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. See the Privacy Policy for how that information is used.

Intellectual Property

The Site's text, design, graphics, and the free guide are owned by Margin (or licensed to it) and protected by copyright. You're welcome to share a link to the Site, but you may not copy, republish, or distribute its content for commercial purposes without written permission.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Site in any way that's unlawful, attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it, or infringes anyone else's rights.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and coaching services are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. I don't guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and I make no warranty about the accuracy or completeness of information on it.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Margin and Cody Sensenig aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or coaching services, including financial decisions you make based on coaching. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited under Ohio or federal law.

Indemnification

You agree to hold Margin harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your misuse of the Site or breach of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Termination

I may suspend or end access to the Site or coaching services at any time, for any reason, including a breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including confidentiality, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.

Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect the current version. Continuing to use the Site or continuing coaching after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
