Privacy Policy

Margin ("Margin," "I," "me," or "we") is a one-on-one YNAB coaching practice operated by Cody Sensenig, a sole proprietor based in Dover, Ohio. This policy explains what information I collect through yourmargincoach.com (the "Site") and while working with coaching clients, why I collect it, and the choices you have.

Margin is a coaching service, not software — there's no client portal, account login, or database on this Site. Most of what's described below comes from the third-party tools I use to run the business (scheduling, payments, and email), not from anything the Site itself stores.

Information I Collect

Information you give me directly

When you book a call, sign up for the free guide, or email me, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, and anything else you choose to share in a message or booking form.

Financial information shared during coaching

Coaching sessions involve looking at your real budget categories and numbers, shared verbally or by screen-share on the call. I don't ask you to send account credentials, full account numbers, or Social Security numbers, and I don't need them to coach you. Anything you do share about your finances during coaching is used solely to help with your budget and is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or any other purpose.

Payment information

Payments for Monthly Coaching are processed by Stripe. Margin does not receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles that in accordance with its own privacy policy and PCI-compliant systems.

Automatically collected information

Like most websites, the Site's host automatically logs standard technical data when you visit — things like IP address, browser type, device type, and pages viewed — for security and performance purposes. The Site also uses Google Analytics to understand overall traffic and how visitors use the Site — things like which pages get viewed, how long visits last, and general device/location information (city or region level, not a precise address). Margin doesn't run advertising pixels or any other visitor-tracking software beyond what's described in this policy.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies (for example, _ga) to distinguish visitors and measure site usage. The scheduling widget (Cal.com) and email tool (MailerLite) embedded on parts of the Site may also set their own cookies to make booking and the free-guide signup work — see their policies linked below for details. You can block or delete any of these cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google's browser add-on; doing so may affect whether embedded booking or signup forms work correctly but won't affect your ability to use the Site or book coaching.

How I Use Your Information

• To schedule, confirm, and follow up on coaching calls and sessions
• To process payment for Monthly Coaching and the YNAB Jumpstart
• To send the free guide and respond to questions you send by email
• To send occasional coaching-related emails, if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time
• To keep the Site secure and working properly

I do not sell your personal information, and I don't use your financial details for anything beyond the coaching relationship you signed up for.

Third-Party Service Providers

Margin runs on a small set of outside tools, each of which processes some information on my behalf, subject to its own privacy policy:

• Cal.com — scheduling and booking calls (collects your name, email, and anything you enter into the booking form)
• Stripe — payment processing for Monthly Coaching
• MailerLite — email delivery for the free guide signup and any newsletter-style emails
• Google Analytics — traffic and usage measurement for the Site; see Google's privacy policy for how Google handles this data
• Cloudflare — website hosting and standard security/performance logging
• Google Fonts — delivers the Site's typefaces; loading a font from Google's servers passes along your IP address as part of that request

The Site also links out to YNAB (a referral/affiliate link — see the Terms of Use for details). Clicking that link takes you to YNAB's own site, subject to YNAB's own privacy policy; nothing you do there is shared back with Margin.

I may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of the business — in which case client confidentiality commitments described in this policy would carry over to the new owner.

Data Retention

I keep booking, payment, and email records for as long as needed to run the coaching relationship, meet tax and accounting obligations, and resolve any disputes — generally no longer than a few years after our last contact, unless you ask me to delete it sooner (see below).

Data Security

I take reasonable steps to protect the information I do hold, and I rely on established providers (Cal.com, Stripe, MailerLite, Cloudflare) that maintain their own security standards for the data that passes through their systems. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights and Choices

• Ask what personal information I have about you
• Ask me to correct or delete it
• Unsubscribe from any email list at any time using the link in the email

Children's Privacy

Margin's services are intended for adults. The Site is not directed at children under 16, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this policy occasionally as the business or the tools it runs on change. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. Continuing to use the Site or continuing coaching after a change means you accept the updated policy.
